Koi Cares is our company initiative to give back to the community.

Our mission is simple: To be a force for positive change.

Whether it’s raising funds for disaster relief, supporting breast cancer research, or helping heal the wounds of domestic violence, we believe that each of us, individually and collectively, has the power to make a difference.

That’s what koi cares is about. Giving back. Lending a hand. Planting the seeds of hope.

We invite you to join us in giving back to the community.

Let’s make a difference. Together.

Lending support to a great cause!

Monday, July 25th, 2011

We’ve been writing on the blog quite a bit lately about our partnership with A Window Between Worlds, the only national non-profit dedicated to using art to help end domestic violence. This remarkable organization held itsAdvocate Huddle this week on Tuesday, July 19. It was a great way to learn more about AWBW and the positive long-term impact they have for victims of domestic violence. In addition to hearing stories of healing from a therapist who utilizes the tools and programs provided by AWBW in shelters, everyone in attendance had the opportunity to experience a hands-on art project that demonstrated one of the tools used.

The tremendous contributions generated from the Warehouse Sale and VIP Preview event are going to allow AWBW to continue bringing women and children the tools they need through these crucial programs. Many thanks again to the organizations and individuals that made it possible. Cathy Salser, Executive Director of AWBW, presented koi with a “Thank You” plaque and an art piece created by one of their programs’ participants. Please visit the AWBW website at www.awbw.org for more information on how you can get involved or to make a contribution.

warehouse sale 2011

Thanks for helping make last weekend’s Warehouse Sale a big success! We had a great turnout for our VIP Preview event on Friday night and we were amazed that the line to get into our Warehouse Sale on Saturday morning wrapped completely around the front of our building in Santa Monica. We were thrilled that we were about to raise $42,571 for A Window Between Worlds (AWBW), a non-profit organization dedicated to using art as a tool to heal the emotional wounds caused by domestic violence. We really appreciate the support of all our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and everyone who attended our Warehouse Sale and VIP Preview benefitting this worthy organization. koi Warehouse Sale VIP Preview Event—Friday evening, June 10th!

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

As some of you may have heard, we will be hosting a big Warehouse Sale at our Santa Monica warehouse on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 from 10 am to 2 pm each day. Koi fans will have the chance to pick up koi designer scrub tops, pants, and more at up to 70% off!

For those of you who want first crack at the koi Warehouse Sale merchandise, we will be hosting a special VIP Preview event on Friday night, June 10, from 6 to 9 pm. The VIP Preview event will benefit A Window Between Worlds, a non-profit group committed to helping women and children who have suffered from domestic violence.

The cost of attending this benefit VIP Preview event is $40 per person and will be limited to a maximum of 100 attendees.

This VIP Preview event will include complimentary drinks, appetizers, and more. Koi founder and designer Kathy Peterson, along with members of the koi team, will be there to meet and mingle and answer your questions and listen to your suggestions. And, of course, you’ll have the chance to shop the Warehouse Sale—and pick up great deals—before the sale is open to the general public.

100% of all proceeds from ticket sales to this event will go to A Window Between Worlds, a non-profit organization dedicated to using art to heal the emotional wounds of domestic violence. In addition, koi will be donating 20% of proceeds generated by the Warehouse Sale to A Window Between Worlds. It’s a great organization that does some really great work and they need your support! To donate or learn more about A Window Between Worlds, visit www.awbw.org.

If you’d like to attend this special VIP Preview event, you can purchase ticket online at www.koihappiness.com/warehousesale/purchase.php. For more details, contact Jonathan Mustich at jonathan@koihappiness.com.
