Avoiding Fakes, Knock-offs & Unauthorized Factory Rejects
Occasionally, you may come across items that look like koi products but, at closer inspection, are inferior “knock-offs” or unauthorized factory rejects.
These items may look like the real thing, but may feature cheaper materials and workmanship, may not fit properly, and may shrink or fade after a few washes.
To ensure the koi garments you purchase are genuine, we recommend that you buy koi products only from authorized koi retailers.
Many of koi’s designs are copyrighted and cannot be legally copied by other manufacturers. In addition, koi reserves all rights to its name, logos and phrases associated with us such as “koi by Kathy Peterson” and “The Home of Designer Scrubs.” These terms and phrases cannot legally be featured on unauthorized products or used in websites or in catalogs without written permission from koi. However, because of the popularity of our designers, competitors have been known to use these phrases to pass off counterfeits or factory rejects as genuine koi products.
